Handmade paper card printed with my Bottlebrush ink drawing - recycled envelope included.

I make my own paper by hand. It’s a long meditative process but I love it, especially when I finally get to touch my paper at the end :-) ...It has a soft, yet earthy texture, with torn edges and a creamy appearance.

How I make my paper:
I use recycled paper that’s otherwise heading to the bin ♻️
First, I pulp the paper then add it to a big tub of water.
Then I dip a mould and deckle into the water and a piece of paper is formed!
Next, I press the piece onto a piece of cloth and repeat until I have a big stack of paper.
Then I press the stack between boards and hang each piece of paper/cloth up to dry. Then I press the dried paper between boards until they are beautifully flat and smooth :-)

Dimensions are 15cm x 10.5cm.
