RARE 1969-70 BIBA Vintage Skirt Suit in Tea Rose Grosgrain / 1960s 1970s Iconic British Boutique Fashion / Biba Kensington London

☆ DESCRIPTION ☆

Beautiful vintage Biba skirt suit from 1969-70. Made from a tea rose colour sateen grosgrain fabric. The jacket is beautifully fitted with wide lapels, patch pockets, slim sleeves and a gathered feature on the back. Midi skirt is a subtle A-line shape. Both jacket and skirt are unlined so perfect for indoor wear.

☆ CONDITION ☆

Excellent to very good vintage condition. Faults to note: there is a series of tiny dot-like pale marks in the fabric on the lower back and bottom (See last photo) and also some on the back of the right sleeve (see seventh photo). The original owner raised the hemline about 1.5 inches and I have left it "as is" since there is likely to be a visible line if lowered again. One of the buttons has the rim partly shear off (see eighth photo). The suit is priced with these flaws taken into account.

Will fit XS to small. Not size labelled but will fit a modern UK 8 (US 4. Euro 36). The mannequin is 5ft 8 inches for length reference. Please go by measurements below.

Waist: skirt waist is 26 inches actual circumference
Hips: skirt hips is 36 inches
Sleeve: Jacket sleeve is
Jacket Length: 24 inches down centre back from collar seam to hem
Skirt length: 22 inches
