Despite the best efforts of the USPS to derail this delivery, I finally received the building in perfect condition. Somehow enroute it had been bathed in motor oil, opened by the post office, resealed with a note of apology, and eventually sent on its way. But print resin in pretty hardy, and the house is none the worse for wear. A quick wash in warm soapy water, which is recommened anyway, quickly dispelled any trace odor. It is now primed and ready for detail painting. My only concern is how to deal with window coverings for the front first floor. I decided to cut a piece of tan kraft paper and fold it to slot behind the openings. The other windows will be treated similarly, and lit with 3 led's from the ceiling. This is the last building to complete my Chicago Bridgeport neighborhood.
