I already have my songwriting process, so why would I use The SWURNL?

While designing The SWURNL, I realized I had some competition: millions and millions of individualized songwriting processes! Therefore, I designed it to work with your process, not replace it. No matter how you write songs, The SWURNL provides a flexible-use format for organizing your ideas, saving time, and staying focused.

How exactly will the SWURNL help organize my process, save me time, and keep me focused?

Okay, ready? By providing you with a flexible-use format, which includes the tools most songwriters employ, there's no need for you to draw them over and over again. With all these tools and ideas within every Song Spread, you'll spend less head-spinning time flipping between pages. By compiling all of your songs and project notes into one journal, you'll have no need to search through other places. Having a Song Index will allow you to find your songs more easily. Lastly, writing in a paper journal immediately cuts out the distractions of a smart device. I'm sure there are other ways I haven't even thought of yet

Will The SWURNL make me write better songs?

Yes and no. The more songs you write, the more you practice songwriting. Usually, the more you practice songwriting, the better your songwriting gets. So in that way, yes. With that being said, we're careful to not accept any credit for your awesome songwriting. Think of The SWURNL as a tool, not your brain :)

Why so big? Do you design smaller songwriting journals?

Not yet, but there is a smaller journal on the way. The main reason for its current size is because I wanted as much space as possible to fit each song's lyrics. When I was searching for songwriting journals, nearly all of them came in smaller sizes. This is fine, but I thought, "What if I write a longer song? There's no way all my lyrics would fit." Will all songs need that much space? No, but I wanted The SWURNL to inspire songwriting, not limit it.

Why doesn't it have any artwork or quotes?

I know you like quotes, I do too. But, your SWURNL should be yours. I intentionally designed it to be neutral so that any songwriter could pick it up, make it their own, and not be swayed by any styling. Please, make it yours and share photos with me!
