Orchid Care: Essential Information for Healthy Growth

1. Air Circulation: Orchids grow on trees, roots need air, so it's important to use a potting mix that allows for ample air flow around the roots.
2. Moisture Management: Unlike other plants, orchids do not need constant moisture. In their natural habitat, orchid roots get wet during rain and dry out quickly afterwards. A well-draining potting mix that retains some moisture between waterings is essential.
3. Unsuitable Materials: Sphagnum moss, charcoal, and perlite or sponge rock are not recommended for orchids. These materials are good for regular plants, however, can inhibit orchid root attachment and growth, leading to suboptimal conditions for orchids. Sphagnum remains wet, only good for some seedling phalaenospsis.

Orchiata bark is stronger and harder than regular bark, and is coated with Dolomite, a natural mineral containing calcium and magnesium. This coating helps support recently repotted orchids and prevents salt accumulation.
Our 12-month slow-release fertilizer contains essential nutrients and microelements, encapsulated within multiple layers of polymeric resin. This design allows for continuous, gradual release of fertilizer, ensuring optimal nutrient supply without burning the roots. The fertilizer is suitable for all orchids.
