We found this antique display cabinet in a country house on the Danish island of Lolland.
This piece of furniture is truly a unique find, one hardly ever comes across in this size.
The top corner elements feature hand-crafted curved glass, which is extremely difficult to manufacture and cost a huge amount of money at the time.
The corner elements at the bottom are fitted with curved plexiglass, crystal clear, and hardly distinguishable from real glass.
Given the size of this piece of furniture, this would be an excellent opportunity to furnish a shop, a retail store, the interior of a restaurant or simply to display your curiosities.
Note the beautiful border at the top. The cabinet still has its original paint and color, as well as all hinges, locks and knobs have remained original.
We made the back wall ourselves, using vintage wallpaper on a wooden plate.
However, this display case could also be placed directly against a finished (or rather rougher) wall.
This piece of furniture deserves a place where it is seen! Unique in its genre, a "pièce unique" that exudes the class of days gone by.
