Beautiful, hand stitched, designer needlepoint canvas worked in Cotton floss in bright colors, depicting a Jazz Band and female singer. Canvas was hand painted and designed by Prince Duncan Williams, for Needlepoint For You. Entitled "Jazz Band". It looks like a New Orleans scene to me.

Completed size of the image is about 15" wide x 10" high, on a canvas that measures about 2" larger all around, including the binding tape.

Canvas could be mounted and framed for display on your wall, or made into a pillow or seat cover or similar use. Canvas is all hand stitched in many colors of cotton floss, covering thousands of little holes. Canvas looks like 18 mesh mono- or about 18 threads per inch, so that is a LOT of holes and threads to change on your needle!! ( that size canvas is about 324 stitches per inch!!)

Canvases may need to be blocked before framing to square up the corners. Stitches tend to pull the scene into a slightly skewed depiction.

Canvas came as a large group of completed and partially complete canvases that we will be listing soon. Made by a local needlewoman who loved to do the hard part of the pictures first! So if you prefer to finish the backgrounds, we will have some lovely almost done pieces to finish soon. They make a great beach project to sit and work while you relax in the sun!

Our needlewoman was sophisticated in her taste and spared no expense for hand-painted designer canvases. She liked to work on the BEST! These lovely canvases represent years of work on her part and I hope we can find some loving hands to complete them!
