This listing is for worsted weight, red, cotton yarn. The color is more of an orange red than a true red, I've done my best to accurately capture the color in the pictures. This yarn is incredibly soft and looks great knit or crocheted.

Yarn Reclaiming Process-
After finding a suitable sweater, I pull out each of the seams to separate all of the pieces. I use a bobbin winder and yarn storage bobbins to unravel each of the sweater pieces. I've found that doing this with a manual bobbin winder gives me a lot of control lets me unravel the yarn without too much pulling or tugging. From the bobbins, I wind the yarn onto a yarn swift, which lets me measure the yardage. After tying each skein of yarn, I thoroughly wash each one with scent free detergent and hang to dry.
For cotton yarn, I take the extra step to wind each of the skeins into cakes. Cotton doesn't have the stretch other fibers have and stores well wound up.
For other types of yarn, I leave them as skeins unless someone requests to have the yarn wound for them.
