This DTF (Direct to Film) transfer is 11" wide by 11" tall. Household irons and craft presses will not work as this transfer requires even pressure and temperature. You will receive only the DTF Transfer (and two small samples for testing). No digital files or apparel are included with this purchase.

If you've never used DTF transfers before, pressing a DTF transfer is simple and easy. These transfers can be applied to cotton, polyester, cotton poly blends, tri-blends, canvas, and denim.

I print the DTF transfers I sell utilizing cold peel film because many believe they are easier to peel and softer when printed. And because every heat press is a little different, I always include two small DTF transfers so you can run a sample test and dial in your machine before you print your actual garment.

PRESSING INSTRUCTIONS (Will also be included with your order with two free small trial samples for you to test out what works best with your heat press):

For Pressing onto Cotton: 320 F, Heavy Pressure, 20 Seconds.

For Pressing onto Polyester and Polyester Blends: 300 F, Heavy Pressure, 20 Seconds.

1. Heat your heat press to the desired temperature. If printing on cotton, preheat to 320 F. If printing on polyester or blends, preheat to 300 F.

2. Place the garment to receive the image transfer onto the heat press.

3. Prepress your garment to remove any excess moisture and to remove any wrinkles, and set your pressure to heavy pressure. (On my newer Stahl's heat press, I use the 6-7 pressure setting. On my older Geo Knight heat press, I use firm to very firm/heavy pressure. I highly encourage you to use the two samples I send to see what works best with your heat press.)

4. Lint roll the press area of your garment to remove any lint or threads.

5. Place the DTF print on the garment, with the white and textured side of the transfer film directly against the fabric and positioned exactly where you want the image transferred. The smooth side with the image showing through should be on the top facing you.

6. Press the transfer onto the fabric using the suggested temperature, pressure, and duration.

7. Remove the garment from the heat press, lay it on a clean, flat, hard surface, and once it has cooled (at least 2 minutes), carefully peel the film away from the garment at a moderate rate.

8. Place the garment back on the heat press with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper between the shirt and the top of the heat press, then perform a final "finish" press for an additional 10 seconds at the same temperature and pressure as the transfer.

Ta Da!! Your garment is beautifully printed!

Trouble Shooting: Because every heat press and every heat press operator is different, I include 2 samples for you to test out your heat press and the transfer. Some people find that their heat presses need a longer application time or higher temp. If the test transfer doesn't peel correctly, you may need to increase your initial press for up to an additional 5-10 seconds (30 seconds total) and increase your temperature 5-10 degrees. Additionally, you may want to increase the pressure.

I press at 320 F for 20 seconds with heavy pressure and finish press for 10 seconds on 100% cotton. I know some people who do 330 F for 15 seconds followed by 15 seconds, and yet others who press at 300 F for 30 seconds initially followed by a 30 second finishing press.

If you are new to DTF, try my settings first and then adjust as needed for your heat press. I include the samples so you don't have to worry...just do a couple sample presses to see what works best with your heat press before you press your actual garment.
