The perfect addition to your contemporary home decor as a planter or modern sculpture with a touch of tribal folk art in neutral colors.
STYLE:
Doodle van Dough makes ink drawings, sculpture and prints in the Gond art style, an ancient Indian artform to illustrate contemporary themes in ink, adding his unique line work motifs to expand the existing lexicon of this venerable folk form.
WHAT IS GOND ART?
Dating back almost 3000 years, the Gonds were original natives of the Indian subcontinent, originating from Madhya Pradesh. Gond art is an ancient form, with a striking, instantly recognizable vocabulary of decorative maximalism with extremely fine line work, balanced with hard, clear boundaries depicting surreal, narrative scenes of flora, fauna, religious themes.
NOTE:
These planters do not come with a base saucer to hold drainage. DM me if you'd like one.
