What is slime made of?

The basic slime recipe is a combination of Glue and Activator ( Borax mixed with water). Depending on the texture of slime you are trying to create other ingredients such as lotion, contact solution, shaving cream, instant snow, clay, food coloring, mica powder and essential oil can be added.

Why is my slime sticky?

Slime can become sticky if it gets warm, it is under activated, or it has sat in its jar to long. Don’t worry this can be fixed by using activator and kneading it into your slime. Start slow to ensure you don’t over activate! Clear based slimes tend to be stickier and more work to maintain.

Why did my clear based slime turn cloudy?

When you play with slime you create air bubbles as a result your slime will become foggy. Don’t worry when you stop playing with your slime and let it sit the air bubbles will rise to the top and your slime will clear out again.

Why doesn’t my slime fit in its container after playing with it?

When you play with slime it can inflate due to air bubbles being created during play. Any slime that doesn’t fit in its container can be stored in a sealed plastic baggie until your slime deflates.

What are the best tips for taking care of my slime?

Always wash your hands prior to play to remove any dirt and oils. Always play with your slime on a clean surface to avoid crumbs, hair, dirt, grease, etc. getting into your slime. Store your slime in its container and ensure it’s lid is secure. Keep slime in a cool place away from heat. Slime can be sensitive, give it some attention by playing with it and using activator when sticky.

The first word that comes to mind is squelchy, which is exactly what you would want from an octopus-mermaid sea queen-themed slime! It’s thick and snappy, stretchy, poppy, and I love the lava chunks. It’s SO pretty before it gets mixed with dark purple, black, and white and turns into a beautiful lavender color. ADDENDUM: I love this slime so much that I'm coming back to update this review. I find myself grabbing this one often. Originally, I said it smells kind of soapy, but that needs to be revised. I don't know what magic this is, but it's kind of briney, and sea-forward lol. Having lived near the sea, maybe when you read that you think low-tide. it's not that at all - I cant pick out any specific scents but it definitely makes me think of the ocean in the best way. This currently doesn't leave my desk. I love it.

First off, the slime is such a beauty. I enjoyed the avalanche effect so much. Once mixed it turns into a soft, dark purple masterpiece. The smell is what won my heart. Damp sea air has an amazing petrichor feel to it. Petrichor-like scents are my absolute favorite. I just love unusual scents all together because they always hit a spot in my memories. I also love Ursula so I think I need the fancy version too lol.
