Adorable mushroom earrings are created from Hawaiian opihi shell caps (found on the beaches of Kauai and Oahu) and a stalk made from hammered wire.

I never take any living creatures from the beach - any items I find while beach combing have already been washed up on the shore and have been dried out/bleached due to natural exposure to the sun prior to my finding them.

~ Hawaiian opihi (limpet) shells, turquoise, pink tourmaline, amethyst, pink coral, blue apatite, labradorite, garnet, peridot, lapis lazuli

~ sterling silver, gold filled, or rose gold filled wire and ear wires

~approximately 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm), from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the stalk
