The cameo in this pendant is made with ceramic clay that has been fired at a 1000 degrees Celsius (that's around 1800 Fahrenheit) with the same technique that is used for pottery. I left the pendant unglazed (without the usual glossy or matte finish you see on mugs and plates). This means the clay is very porous and can absorb liquids. It makes it perfect for people who cannot wear perfume or any other scents directly on their skin. It shouldn't however be exposed to water so bathing and showering with it is not a good idea, tin with which it is framed is prone to rusting quite easily.

You can just add a few sprays/drops of your favorite perfume, essential oil, scented oil or whatever else you'd like onto the pendant and let it absorb. From my own experience I've observed that the scent stays longer on the pendant than on my own skin but then again, it can vary from person to person.

The pendant is 4 cm / 1.6 inch long and 2.5 cm / 1 inch wide.

Please keep in mind that the item is MADE TO ORDER. No two handmade items are exactly the same, but I will do everything to ensure that they resemble the one depicted as much as possible.

I used lead free, eco-friendly tin (pewter) to frame the glass and then I aged it with black patina.

You can choose length of the chain from options available above. Chains 25 inches long and shorter will be fitted with a lobster clasp. For reference, the chain in the picture is 64 cm / 25 inches long.
