Carefully crafted by hand using only the best quality full grain tough rustic cowhide leather, these personalized notebook covers are built to endure. As the journals are handled they will gain unique markings, making them even more personal and truly one of a kind. Each notebook cover is made to order and is personalized by hand in my small workshop.

This travel notebook system includes 4 elastic strands which hold 4 notebooks in place. You can easily swap them out at any time & they are compatible with many easily available inserts. I also sell the journal inserts in my shop so you can stock up! You will receive 4 handmade notebooks with your leather cover.

FAQ's
Q: Is the blank paper suitable for fountain pens?
A: Yes! The paper is thick & of high quality. Bleed through and ghosting is very unlikely with pens including fountain, and most water based fineliner markers. Not for use with sharpies.

Q: Can I use watercolor paints in my notebook?
A: You can do light washes, if you don't mind some warping. Many of my customers do this & are happy with the results - but this is not meant to replace a watercolor pad.

Q: Do I have to use Forest Nine brand inserts with my notebook cover?
A: No! You can use many brands of notebooks / inserts


PERSONALIZATION INFO

‣ Each individual brass letter is placed by hand
‣ Heat and pressure is used for embossing to ensure a quality & lasting imprint. (superior to laser engraving)
‣ Choose to personalize with your name, date, initials or special words.
‣ The font will be times new roman.
‣ I will choose the size type that suits your request best - going with large or small where it makes sense aesthetically.
‣ All sentence case will be done in 24 pt (the smaller letters shown in examples)
‣ The larger letters are only available in uppercase.
‣ Embossing is available on the front side only
‣ My processing times are fast, so I do not provide photos or a proof before shipping - but it will be just as beautiful as my examples.

SIZE INFO:

‣ 4x6" (Pocket) fits inserts 3.5x5.5 (Field N's etc) (can also fit two 4x6" slim inserts)
‣ 5x7" (B6) fits up to 5x7" inserts
‣ 6x8.5" (A5) fits 5.7x8.26 or half letter inserts ( 5.5x8.5")
‣ 8x10" (B5) fits up to 8x10.25" inserts - can fit 5-6 slim inserts, 2 composition notebooks, 2 xl cahier notebooks

ABOUT OUR LEATHER
The leather used to create these notebook covers / sketchbook covers has been hand crafted through a lengthy & specialized tanning process. This process creates an outstanding quality of leather that will age and patina beautifully with time and use. This tannery has been in business for nearly 120 years & they create some of the best leathers you can buy. We have worked with this tannery to create the perfect Forest Nine tan color, but we also have dark brown and black for some added options. The tan and dark brown options will have a "pull up" effect, which gives the rustic dual tones you see with use. If you like, you can rub some leather balm on the front, but it's not required by any means.

‣ Since leather is a natural material, please expect slight variances & imperfections.
‣ Embrace the imperfections and scuffs created over time, this only makes your journal cover more special!
