The Guggenheim Art Museum is located in the heart of Manhattan, New York, opposite the expansive Central Park. Designed by the acclaimed Frank Lloyd Wright, the Solomon R Guggenheim was built in 1959. Known as the “of the spirit” the museum is home to an ever growing collection of Impressionist and Post-impressionist works. The main body of the building itself is a viewing platform. Essentially a conical ramp which wraps itself around a central atrium, naturally lit by a glazed roof canopy.
