Antique Art Deco 18ct Gold Royal Blue Sapphire & White Pearl Statement Ring / Size Q 1/2 or 8.5

This is a truly beautiful antique Art Deco 18ct gold ring - a rare and remarkable design unlike anything we’ve come across before. At its centre sits a striking fancy kite-cut sapphire, held in a sleek, refined bezel setting. The sapphire’s colour is exceptional: a deep, vibrant royal blue that draws the eye instantly.
At each compass point rests a lustrous white pearl, creating a harmonious balance around the central stone. Fine engraved detailing traces the borders between the pearls, adding just the right touch of Deco geometry and elegance.

Hallmarks: The ring is stamped clearly as 18ct Gold. It has a yellow gold band, and white gold accented gallery.
Age: Circa 1920
Weight: 4.9 grams
Face: 2.4 x 1.9 cms in size
Gemstone: 12 x 9.5 mms fancy kite cut blue sapphire, eastimated to be around 4cts. 2x (4.25mm) white pearls, and 2x (4mm) white pearls. We expect the the pearls are natural, but they are untested to avoid damage to them. We have tested this stone with a Presidium Gemstone Tester and have verified it as a real sapphire. We presume it is an early example of a lab created sapphire - rather than a natural grown sapphire. A lab-created sapphire has the exact chemical composition as a natural sapphire harvested from a traditional mine. Lab grown gemstones are typically perfect examples, with excellent clarity and colour.

In very good antique condition, with minimal light wear and surface scratches to the gold as to be expected from an antique item. This ring has been professonally cleaned and polished, ready for it's new home. Please see the photos.
