Antique French earthenware plate with an enameled design of a rooster
Late 1800s

Sizes: 10 inches in diameter (25cm)

In a vintage condition, as shown on the pictures: a few pits to the enameled design, wear to the glaze on the borders, a manufacture default on the border, nothing serious and this does not detract from the beauty of this gorgeous dish!!
Please use the zoom feature to see all the fine details

A very rare antique plate
From the make Jules Vieillard Bordeaux, the model of this plate is from Eugène Millet
The eartenware plate has an enameled design in a slightly raised design with a decor of a rooster with an insect and flowers
The plate has a lovely shine
The plate is marked on the back with a Japonese style stamp, numbered 30

Much prettier in reality than on the pictures, believe me!

A great collectible and rare plate

You can hang it on the wall with the metal piece that is fixed around the plate

I have the matching plate with a swallow bird:
