4 natural green Kunzite gemstones originating from Afghanistan. These weigh a total of 10.20 CTS between the 4 stones and have been cut and faceted into a mix of square cushion style. 2 of the stones are square and the other two are traditional cushion shapes.

These are very close in size being about 7 mm approximately. We can provide exact measurements of each stone if required. The average weight of each stone is 2.55 CTS.

The stones have a somewhat similar appearance to green amethyst, although these will have a much stronger glow and noticeably higher luster. The coloring is a bright neon green with slight undertones of gold. One of the stones has a very strong gold coloring. These are naturally earth mined gemstones and have been irradiated to enhance color.

The gems are fully transparent and have very good clarity. There is only very slight natural inclusions found upon magnification /close examination. One of the stones has a small dot of yellow coloring. These can be considered close to eye clean or VVS clarity.

Green Kunzite, also known has hiddenite or lithia emerald, is the green to yellow - green silica mineral variety of the mineral Spodumene. The gem has a glassy transparency and is pleochoic and shifts into different tones.

Kunzite is a relatively new gem on the market. It was discovered in 1902 and named after the gemologist who discovered the stone, George Kunz. The hardness of the stone rates 6.5 - 7 on the MOHS scale, making this acceptable for regular wear.
