I have plated my tarnished Tiffany silver necklaces to yellow gold using 24k solution. It works so well that make sure you heat up the solution before plating. Also make sure you are using the recommended metals that silver works well but if you leave the metal in the solution for too long, it tends to get too yellow, almost like copper.
