🖨️ IMPORTANT PRINTING INFORMATION
Always print your pattern at:
ACTUAL SIZE / 100% SCALE
Do not select “Fit to Page.”
Check the test square before assembling the complete pattern.
Printer settings can vary between computers and printers. If you're having difficulty getting the correct scale at home, a local print shop can also print the files for you.
🧵 FABRIC RECOMMENDATION
Approximately 3.5 yards of fabric is recommended.
For larger sizes, I recommend choosing fabric that is approximately 56 inches / 140 cm wide or wider.
Because this is a gathered skirt, fabric width is important for achieving the intended fullness and silhouette.
Light to medium-weight woven fabrics work beautifully.
Try:
• Cotton
• Linen blends
• Cotton lawn
• Poplin
• Rayon / viscose
• Lightweight woven fabrics
Different fabrics will give the same pattern a completely different personality.

Think of the pattern as your starting point rather than your limit.

Once you understand the basic construction, you can come back to the same pattern and create completely different skirts.
🪡 A FEW SEWING TIPS FROM ME
Pre-wash and press your fabric before cutting.
Finish raw edges with a zigzag stitch or serger/overlocker for a cleaner and more durable garment.
And one of my favorite sewing habits:
Press as you sew.
Pressing between construction steps can completely transform how your finished garment looks.
For the elastic waistband, test the elastic around your body before permanently cutting and sewing it.
Comfort is more important than blindly following a number.
♡ WANT TO ADD A LINING?
You can.
Use the same main skirt pattern to cut your lining.
Make the lining shorter than your outer skirt. If you'd like slightly more ease inside, you can add approximately ¼ inch (0.5 cm) at each side when cutting the lining.
