Intarsia woodworking involves using various wood shapes fitted together to create a picture similar to a mosaic. The pieces are carved out and precisely fitted, and glued onto a wooden board. Piecing the wood together creates a 3D effect as you layer each wood piece. ArtisanDekor is very passionate about intarsia woodwork. Since the seventh century, the style has been around, and early adaptions of this art form originated in Northern Africa.
