Custom OEM/PHOB GameCube controller, GCC, Snapback, Paracord Cable, Tactile Z, Trigger Plugs + More

Please read "Important notes" section below for more info. If you chose a paracord option, please specify which color you want in the "personalisation" section when ordering. See the last photo for all the color options I currently have available. It is recommended by the postal companies to add a phone number to your package. You can do that here or when you're filling out your address.

Please let me know if you have any special requests in the "personalisation" section, e.g., Trigger plugs, no rumble motor, cell phone rumble, Nunchuk c-stick or cut trigger springs.

PHOB option comes default with a tactile Z button and T3 stickboxes.

I have noticed that it's becoming harder to find reliable GameCube controllers out there, but there's no need to play the GCC lottery anymore with these refurbished controllers.

Each controller is fully disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and tested with SmashScope software before adding any of the mods you desire.

Mods explained:
- Snapback is the undesired effect that happens when you flick the control stick to one side and the stick rebounds in the other direction, which causes a wrong directional input. By adding the correct capacitors to the stick potentiometers, we can eliminate this effect.

- Tactile/Clicky Z is replacing the original Z switch, which can feel quite mushy in OEM controllers, with a new clickier one. This provides more feedback to your finger to let you know that it's been pushed.

- Paracord is replacing the old rubber on the cable with a braided paracord material of your choosing. See my last photo for color options.

- T3 stickboxes are the newest revision of the GameCube stickbox. They are more durable, so will last longer before becoming loose. However, as they are more rare, they come with a higher price tag.

- OEM control stick (only applies to OEM buttons option) is an extra charge to get an original control stick on your controller. A lot of the time they are worn out on existing controllers, making them more rare to come by. I use a Wii nunchuk stick to substitute if this option isn't selected.

- Phob's are a special motherboard that are built from new and donor parts of an OEM controller. They use hall-effect sensors instead of potentiometers and have many features build in, such as the ability to re-map buttons and adjust snapback filtering.

- Cut springs reduce the force required to press the triggers down, which can lessen the strain on your hands.

- Trigger plugs are for Smash Melee only. They reduce the travel distance of the triggers drastically and come in short and long variations. Please specify if you want short, or long, or a mix of box. Short allows light and hard shielding. Long is for hard shielding only.

- Trigger o-rings are for Smash Ultimate only. They reduce the travel distance of the triggers to bottom out right where the shield activates. This mod removes the digital "click" at the bottom of the trigger motion, which is why it's for Ultimate only.

- Rumble delete is just removing the rumble motor if you would prefer to have no rumble.

- Cell phone rumble replaces the original rumble motor and bracket with a motor that vibrates similar to a cell phone.

- Nunchuk C-Stick is replacing the original C nub with a Wii Nunchuk stick if you would prefer a bigger and taller stick there.

*Important notes:

 - The aftermarket white/blue buttons don't feel exactly the same as OEM. I make some modifications to them so the fit as good as possible. However, if feel is very important to you, then I would recommend sticking to OEM, particularly for the sticks, Z button and triggers. Feel free to let me know if you want a mix of aftermarket and OEM buttons on your controller.

 - The aftermarket clear shell is quite good, but of course it doesn't fit or feel exactly the same as an original shell. As with the buttons, if that's important to you, then stick to one of the OEM shells.

 - I only use original OEM shells (apart from the clear shell, which is AM). Most of these are over 20 years old now, so they will likely have some marks and scratches associated with age. Because of this, please think of my controllers as refurbished vintage items. I will send you photos of your exact controller before shipping to confirm.

 - Silver tends to show more wear (especially on the back shell) due to the way that Nintendo made their finish. I always send photos of your exact controller before sending to make sure that you are happy with the cosmetic condition.

 - Snapback modded controllers will need to be reset if plugged in to a running console. This is achieved by either pressing X, Y, and Start for 3 seconds or by simply restarting the console while the controller is plugged in.

 - The "OEM buttons" option automatically comes with the Wii Nunchuk control stick due to a shortage of original sticks. If you want an OEM control stick, please specify in the extras tab.

 - Due to many years of use, there is a huge scarcity of original control sticks. Unfortunately, this means a higher price for OEM sticks. The best-feeling alternative, in my opinion, is the Wii nunchuk stick, which sits a little higher than the original. If the extra height is an issue for you, go with either the original or one of the aftermarket colors.

 - "Smash Bros" are the black controllers with either the Smash Ultimate or Wii U Smash logo on the front. They have 10ft cables instead of the standard 6ft

 - Longevity tip: To make your controller last as long as possible, keep it protected from dust collecting on top. Dust and debris are stick potentiometers worst enemies and can get in via the openings for the sticks.

 - I don't accept change-of-mind refunds. However, if your controller arrives and doesn't work as it should, please contact me within a month of receiving it and I will make sure to resolve the issue.
