This was an immediate download so I was able to start on it right away. The instructions are pretty clear, but if a crochet beginner who relied on exact instructions were to try this - they may have problems. Just little things. For example, turning at the end of rows. Sometimes it will say to chain 2 (or 1) but not always. If you are trying to keep the same number of stitches across, you know this is important. Sometimes it says finish off, sometimes not. I figured it out and the squares are coming out really cute. Although I didn't like the looks of the white border on the doggy face square. It was hard to follow at first, and too lacey for my grandson I thought. I changed it to a HDC and I like that better. So I changed the dark blue on the dog bone square to match. I'm excited to get all the squares done!
