Make your own triumphal arch - an architectural scale model of the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile, one of the most famous monuments in Paris.

The Arc de Triomphe stands at the centre of a dodecagonal configuration of twelve radiating avenues, including the famous Champs-Élysées. It was commissioned in 1806 after the victory at Austerlitz by Emperor Napoleon at the peak of his fortunes and honours those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces.

The monument stands 50 metres (164 ft) in height. For nearly two centuries, it was the largest triumphal arch in existence. Following its construction, the Arc de Triomphe became the rallying point of French troops parading after successful military campaigns and for the annual Bastille Day Military Parade.

PRINTED KIT - this paper model kit is delivered unassembled, in a flat kit with all the necessary details printed on 5 sturdy A4 paper sheets. You will need to cut, fold and glue the details according to the set-up instructions.

Things which are not included, but you'll need in order to assemble the model: time & patience, a hobby knife, a ruler, a cutting mat or hard surface to work on, white glue (PVA). A pointed stylus, tweezers and scissors might be helpful.

As a general rule, we recommend our PaperLandmarks kits for anyone from age 14 as building work requires patience, advanced motor skills and ability to read assembly diagrams and instructions. Younger modelers will need adult support and supervision.
