What is hydro or hydro thermal quartz???

The hydro is short for the process of Hydrothermal Synthesis. This process has been performed by geologists, geochemists, and mineralogists since the beginning of the 20th century. It essentially is a man made, fast process of creating crystals that would take much longer to form in nature otherwise. To create these crystals, a substance or nutrient along with water is put into an Autoclave , or steel apparatus that can contain and withstand high vapor pressures and very hot temperatures. Usually one end of the autoclave is extremely hot while the other is cooler, creating the necessary environmental properties for the chemical reaction to spawn growth.

1. The best way to prevent tarnishing is to store clean, dry sterling silver in a dry airtight container, like a ziplock bag. 2. An anti-tarnish strip with the silver jewelry in a ziplock bag will help fight against tarnish. 3. Don’t leave silver jewelry in the bathroom. Humidity can speed up the oxidation process that produces tarnish. 4. Minimize sterling silver’s contact to chemicals (hairspray, perfume, body lotion, bleach, etc.) and do not wear it the shower, swimming pool or hot tub. 5. After taking off silver jewelry, clean it with a dry soft cloth before putting it back into an airtight container. 6. it should be the last thing put on before leaving the house, and the first thing removed when returning home.

Interesting zigzag decoration on the silver band, deep red garnet stone. The stone is a nice size for the band, but is a bit to dark to make a nice showing.

Horrible quality. Band is hollow (see image). NOT HYPOALLERGENIC, made my finger itch in <1 minute. Some sort of metal but weighs like it's made of plastic. Not worth $5, much less $30 on sale or $108 full price (at the time). Can get and have gotten better quality from a capsule machine for 50¢. This item is a scam. Do not buy it, you will be disappointed. Update: I have now been contacted by the seller, who is trying to lie to me about the basic facts of a product I have held in my hand, telling me to have it tested at a jeweler (I would be laughed out of a jewelers shop for bringing this in) and attempting to BRIBE ME to remove my review. Never buy from this store.
