3MF file to print your own version of my custom speaker brackets for sale here.

Replace the poor quality 3" factory speakers or add dual 3.5" speakers to your existing storage compartment if it had no speakers. These brackets were the result of about a month of work prototyping, designing, and re-designing the until I was satisfied with the quality and rigidity.

The brackets are designed specifically to mount dual Kicker DS 3.5" speakers into the original Porsche storage compartment offered as an option on the 986 Boxster. Other 3.5" speakers may fit, but this is not guaranteed as I have not test fit anything but the Kickers.

Also note, that you will need to wire the speakers with an additional 2 ohm resister in order to maintain the proper impedance of the speakers when wired in parallel. Use a high wattage rated resistor like a 25 watt. This is resistor not included.

I recommend printing the brackets in PETG to stand up to heat and other rigors of automotive use. You could also use ASA, ABS, PA12, etc. Do NOT use PLA, its not durable enough.
