18 inch doll dress pattern ~ Vera's 1920's Dropped Waist Dress with Pleats PDF Sewing Pattern

This cute 18 inch doll PDF Sewing pattern is reminiscent of the 1920’s fashion. The dress has a dropped waistline, Peter Pan style collar, two different sleeve options, two separate belt options, and a pleated skirt. The skirt has pleats in the front and gathers in the back. The dress closes in back with buttons and will fall just below the knees on your doll.

There are two sleeve options for this dress. View 1 is a short sleeve with a rolled cuff in a contrasting fabric. View 2 is with a bishop style sleeve with a contrasting cuff. The cuff for the long sleeve has a button closure with a thread loop.

There are two different options for the belt. One option is a belt that buckles in the front. The other option is a wider belt that overlaps in front and is decorated with two buttons. There are handmade belt loops on the sides for the belts.

This dress can be made in cotton such as lightweight quilting cotton, linen and cotton lawn. Make sure that it is not see-through as there is no lining with this pattern. • ½ yard of fashion fabric 44/45 inches wide for dress
• ¼ yard of cotton batiste or very lightweight cotton for collar and cuffs
• Four ⅜ inch wide buttons (short sleeve option & buckle belt)
• Six ⅜ inch buttons (short sleeve option & belt with buttons)
• Six ⅜ inch buttons (long sleeve option & buckle belt)
• Eight ⅜ inch button (long sleeve option & belt with buttons)
• 12 inches of lightweight fusible interfacing
• Chalk or water-soluble marking pen/pencil
• Thread to match fabric and contrast fabric
• ½ to ⅝ inch slider buckle or a lingerie metal slider (buckle belt)

• 12 inches of ¼ inch wide satin ribbon for tie (optional)
