Highlights

This handsome English reading book was printed in 1845 - wow!

The cover is leather, but it has lots of flaws: the edges, spine and corners are frayed, worn, tattered, distressed and lightly soiled in places. Some of the leather has flaked and the book may leave your fingers feeling dusty. There are stains and spots on the leather.

Inside, it's in fair shape for its age - the pages are mostly clean with only a few pencil marks here and there. They do have significant discoloration and some heavy foxing spots in places - but they are fully readable.

The first few pages are ripped - see pics. Some pages may also be detached or loose.

The cover is still attached, but is starting to become detached, so please be gentle. The pages inside feel secure to the binding.

Finally, the covers are slightly warped.

We love the retro schoolhouse feel it has and think it would make an excellent teacher gift or display piece for your shelf or even your classroom.
