Cork lid jar. Great jar for sugar, tea, or secret treasures.
Decorated in patterns and floral designs. Inspired by my love of hiking and nature. Repetition and references to folk art imagery.
5" tall. Holds about 1.5 cups. Watertight glaze on the inside.
You will find nature themes and repetition on these pieces of art pottery. Trees, leaves, flowers, creeks, waterfalls, mountains and birds- these are a few of my favorite things. These works also explore my love of pattern and are inspired by folk art traditions. All the work is handmade from start to finish- starting with a ball of clay. Pieces are individual wheelthrown or handbuilt. The designs are then carved and/or inlaid with underglazes and slips.
While these pots are made with function in mind, please treat them kindly. This isn't factory production ware and is intended to be used mindfully. No harsh dishwashing detergents or microwaving, please! The surfaces may become scratched. The inside is glazed for function (watertight.)
This jar is ready-to-ship. While I may make more items with similar themes, this listing is for the specific vase in the photo. What you see is what you get!
