Suitable Fabrics:
This pattern was designed for light to mid-weight woven fabrics such as linen, cotton poplin, and cotton lawn. Fabrics with a slight drape can be used, but we recommend avoiding fabrics with a lot of drape, such as silk if you are a beginner. Stable wovens such as cotton poplin will make creating the tucks easier as it doesn't shift easily after being pressed.

I’m 90% the way done with my skirt. It requires a lot of fabric so I’m using some thrifted fabric. I had to go across the grain for some of the pieces. This was my first time doing pin tucks. I used the paperless version, which I really liked. Overall the pattern is clear for me as a beginner. Some of the techniques are a bit difficult for me, but with enough seam ripping and patience it is doable. Would purchase from this pattern designer again

Another great pattern by Madeline! I’m such a huge fan of her work. I’ve made multiple of the Madeline tee & one Zamora skirt with plans for another coming soon! I’ve been sewing for 2 months and her patterns have helped me learn and improve so much already.

Response from Madeline

Oh my goodness Paige! You have only been sewing 2 months?! Your skirt turned out so beautifully, and I am so happy my patterns have helped you learn even just a little bit. I can't wait to see what you accomplish with even more time, because this is truly spectacular!
