Vermont Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) photograph at Lake Willoughby near Vermont's Burke Ski Mountain in the North East Kingdom (NEK).

Lake Willoughby is a glacial lake and is a must-see if you are in the area, and since the lake runs from north to south, I figured it will be a great spot to capture the Norther Lights during a Solar Storm in May 2023. It produced amazing sky colors that came out spectacular and captured in this landscape photo of Vermont!

Location: Lake Willoughby Vermont is located in the town of Westmore, Vermont in Orleans County in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, United States.

The lake's southern end is surrounded by the Willoughby State Forest. This state forest includes Mount Pisgah, Mount Hor, collectively "Willoughby Gap".
