PLEASE NOTE: I use a variety of tarot and oracle cards with themes related to the nature of your question. I also intuitively use other divination tools including but not limited to astro dice, story dice, charms, letters, runes, a pendulum, art, and tea leaf reading. It is unlikely I will ever use all of these forms in one short reading however.

PRE-READING PREP: When preparing to receive a tarot reading from me, here are some tips to enhance your experience and get the most out of this opportunity to communicate with your spirit guides, higher self, ancestors, and any angels that come through for you:

1. Before the reading, take a moment to clarify your own intention in seeking out a reading at this time. Why do you need guidance and how are you wanting to feel afterwards? Check that you’re not coming from a place of desperation or clinging to one particular outcome. You and I and all of the Divine that joins us are co-creatively responsible for the energy we bring to the reading. If your intention is surrendered and clear, open to the direction for your best and highest good, you’re much more likely to receive a truly honest reading that ALIGNS right with that best and highest good.

2. Approach the process with an open mind. Tarot readings often involve symbolism and intuitive interpretation, so being receptive to different perspectives will enrich your experience. Be prepared to get curious about all the ways spirit reveals messages to us, and how you can live your life with more of YOUR spirit!

3. Be specific with your questions before the reading (I ask that you send yours in the notes section at checkout to streamline the process.) Think of it like ordering a burger – you could just say, “I’ll have a burger, thanks.” But you know what you’re actually wanting is “the crispy chicken Waikiki with pineapple on the brioche bun, please.”

4. Express any preferences in your communication with me at the time of booking. Gender, pronouns, love orientation, cultural factors of important note, or if you would like me to avoid certain topics that may arise, letting me know in advance means your reading is truly personalized for you and allows you to relax and enjoy the experience.

5. This doesn’t mean there won’t be triggers. Spirit likes to hold you accountable to that best and highest good we just talked about – they want you to heal, to grow, to become, because they know you know you have true purpose here, even if you’re perhaps not ready to hear it in the 3D realm in which we’re existing. If you stay open, put ego aside for a moment (this is a private experience, so give yourself that chance), this can be a profoundly life improving endeavour. This is often why you’ll hear me refer to tarot as personal development – it’s an inside out job!

6. Choose a quiet and comfortable space to receive your reading. Minimize distractions and create an atmosphere that allows you to relax and connect with the experience. Maybe with headphones on, your favourite blanket, laying on the earth, by lighting a candle, sitting at your altar, or wherever you feel most comfortable.

7. As spirit shares insights, listen attentively and with an open heart. Tarot readings are a form of guidance, and the messages may come in various, non-coincidental ways. Be receptive to the symbolism and interpretations provided, and be encouraged to do follow-up research on angel numbers, signs, songs, literature, or practices that may be revealed during your reading.

8. Consider taking notes during the reading, especially of the information or guidance that you find particularly meaningful. This can help you reflect on the session later and integrate the insights into your life.

9. After the reading, take some time to sit with, observe, and journal or brainstorm on the messages and how they resonate with your current situation. Always remember to take what resonates, in the way it resonates for you, and leave anything that you feel isn’t for you in that it may be an issue you’ve already dealt with or successfully avoided. Flip scenarios where needed, too. Consider any action steps or changes you might like to take as a result of the guidance provided.
