All my orders are sent out wrapped in colourful tissue paper, adhered with TheCraftyElks labels, as standard.

My orders are shipped inside white polythene strong seal posting bags and are identified with a TheCraftyElks label.

If you wish to send an order directly to your gift recipient, you can be confident in the gift wrapping as standard and quality of the packaging.

All custom and personalised orders take between 10 and 14 days to complete from the point of purchase. Please contact me via Etsy to discuss the type of custom order you'd like. Please refer to one or more of my hot water bottle covers currently available in my store (or previously sold items) as inspiration. Please also indicate what colours and yarn fibres you would like. I cannot guarantee I can source exactly the yarn and colour you request, but I will do my best to meet your expectations.

Please note that I do not begin knitting until you've completed the checkout process for your custom order and I have been notified via Etsy that your purchase is complete.

Full care, use and safety information is provided with all orders.

Please be aware that as with all knitted items, you must take care when using and storing your hot water bottle cover so as to avoid 'snags' and 'pulls'.

Wash your hot water bottle cover on a hand wash or wool cycle in your washing machine. Otherwise hand wash using a wool detergent.

Do not wash in heat higher than 30 degrees celsius.

Do not iron.

Dry flat.

For best washing and drying results, hand wash in cool water with wool detergent and dry flat.

If you're ordering a hot water bottle upgrade with your order, or a mini hot water bottle and cover, please take all the usual precautions when using a hot water bottle.

I do not engage in wholesale requests.

Please be aware that the hot water bottle you receive, if you have ordered your cover complete with bottle, may differ slightly in appearance from that depicted in my listings.

Please also note that your hot water bottle (and potentially, cover) may have a slight odour from the natural rubber. This will dissipate quickly. You can speed up the process by airing the bottle and washing the cover.

Within the UK:
I use Royal Mail, First Class Recorded, which takes 1-2 days and you'll get a tracking number, so you and I can ensure your item arrives safely. You'll have to sign for the item.

Europe and Worldwide:
I send these Royal Mail, International Tracked Delivery. These items are sent with a tracking number. No signature is needed.

If you do not receive an item within 21 days, please let me know.

All sales are subject to UK law.

TheCraftyElks sources hot water bottles that adhere to British Standard 1970:2012. The manufacturer of these hot water bottles should be contacted in the unlikely event of any problems concerning the hot water bottles themselves.

Any issues concerning the hot water bottle covers only will be resolved by TheCraftyElks.
