Philodendron Dragon Tail, commonly known as Rhaphidophora Decursiva or Monstera Decursiva, is an ampelous plant, which can decorate the house with its gorgeous glossy leaves of pinnate appearance. It gives some tropical accent to the house, especially if it is already a large stunning plant. Philodendron Dragon Tail emits useful substances that kill pathogenic bacteria, so it is very useful to put it in the bedroom or office.

Growing conditions:
-lighting: Philodendron Dragon Tail can grow with a lack of light, but the most beautiful glossy leaves will appear in bright diffused sunlight. With a critical lack of light, it significantly slows down the growth or even stops to grow.

-watering: moderate watering, water the plant when the top half of the soil is dry, but don’t overdry the soil as well. Use settled water of room temperature.

-fertilizing: feed the plant during growing season once in two-three weeks with balanced fertilizer for vine plants.

-nuances: Philodendron Dragon Tail prefers humid atmosphere, that is why make sure to moisturize the leaves especially during cold season, when the air is too much dry for the plant. Use settled water of room temperature. The temperature for normal growing should be between 60°F and 80°F all the year. Repot the plant once in two years or if the pot becomes too small for it, Philodendron Dragon Tail can be repotted each year using bigger pot.
