the pens are so perfect
My psychiatrist specialises in afab adults with adhd and trans youth. She’s always had snail figurines in her office. When I asked why, she told me ‘just like a snail, you are safe when you hole up in your shell- but you can’t move forward. Only when you stick you head out- albeit scary and vulnerable- are you able to move forward’. She discounted or secretly wiped the fee for many of my sessions to encourage me to come back (in the past, when I couldn’t afford it, I’d skip sessions, not be able to get my scripts, & look for meds in sketchy places). I’m moving states and I’ll never be able to repay her for her kindness, but I hope this beautiful snail pen, with a refill I didn’t expect, in a gorgeous pouch, will fill scripts for people who need them and remind her of the difference she makes. Thank you. This means the world. ♥️
