Vintage from the 1940s

A sweet collapsing wire mesh strainer basket from Italy, which is stamped on the bottom. Perfect as an egg gathering basket, or to wash and dry fresh veggies. Bought from an old lady, who told me this was one of the things her husband brought home after the war. The mesh is quite fine an the basket still folds and unfolds with ease, which also means it will not stay up by itself. It has a little strainer part in the bottom. Perhaps to provide a little ´foot´ or to stabilise the construction. It is in great shape!

Items are sent in 1-3 business day unless otherwise stated in our store announcement. Often it´ll go the same or next business day. Please contact us if you are in rush to receive your item. We normally ship items out in the (late) afternoon. We use Canada Post and Chitchats as our shipping partners.

Shipping will be combined if possible and we use recycled packaging materials. You can always ask me for a shipping quote, and I refund any overages on combined orders automatically.

Do be aware that your parcel may incur customs fees, which you will be responsible for.

Please contact me with a clear photo of the damaged item and packaging, or send me a message if the item fails to arrive within 25 working days (6 weeks if overseas). Please check with customs - and your room mates or neighbours - if they are holding your parcel!

Should an item return because it was unclaimed or refused at the post office / customs, the buyer will be responsible for postage fees to have the item re-sent. No refunds will be due.

Do bear in mind that all my items have a past and will normally show signs of wear. Take care in using them as they may not stand up to rough handling.
