***This pilot hat is more of a full coverage hat. This is what the pattern designer has stated:
"After searching for a pilot hat pattern and not finding one that was the exact fit that I wanted, I decided to draw up my own. I have finally come up with a version that I love that covers the child's eyebrows to their neck. Of course, with all babies head sizes and shapes being different, I have tested this pattern on a lot of babies, and found that it does a full coverage on a lot of them."

This is a comfy, soft stretchy pilot hat that is made with a double brushed poly spandex knit fabric that stays on baby's head, covers the ears, and can have a snug fit. You may choose to have either ties or snaps on the hat. You can pick from Plastic KAM snaps or Metal snaps. The side panels on this hat can be replaced with a soft mesh fabric.

Head circumference measurements:
NB: up to 12 to 13 inches
0-3 months: to about 14 inches
3-6 months: to about 16 inches
6-12 months: 16-17.5 inches
12-18 months: 17.5- 19 inches
18 months+: 19-21 inches

Care: Wash gently in cool water. Hang dry.
