This ramp test finds the optimal distance from the tip of the nozzle head to the material. Designed in Fusion 360 and exported in multiple material thicknesses.

Reusable design: The sides, bottom and back pieces of this laser ramp test can be re-used in future tests. You can cut simply out a new top piece for each new test. The bottom pieces are made to be pressure fit with no glue needed(make sure your kerf is adjusted with the included kerf testing pieces). The top piece has a tolerance gap added so that it can easily be replaced with a new top ramp test piece.

Wide range: The CO2 laser cutting ramp test goes from 0 to 40mm in depth. This range of laser focus is suitable for lenses with 1.5'', 2'', 2.5'' and 4'' focal depth.

Fusion 360 File Included: If you'd like to customize the design with your own specs, the Fusion 360 File can be edited with pre-set parameters. No modeling required, just change the parameters for material thickness, length, width or height.

File types included: SVG(.svg), Adobe Illustrator(.ai), DXF(.dxf).

How to use this ramp test:
1. Cut out and assemble the pieces
2. Place ramp test directly under your laser head. As close as possible without touching.
3. Cut a straight line down the length of the ramp test.
4. The smallest point of the line is your focal length.

Kerf testing pieces are also included. It's recommended to adjust your kerf with these small pieces before cutting out the main ramp test pieces because it will make assembly much easier. If your laser cutting kerf is adjusted well, you won't need wood glue to assemble the ramp test. It will snap together with a pressure fit.

Changelog:
v2: Made measurements slightly more accurate. They're now based on Fusion 3D model instead of being added in manually in Illustrator.

v3: Added short and tall versions. There are now 3 ramp heights: 20mm tall, 40mm, and 60mm. 40mm should work for most laser cutting/engraving machines.
