It’s a little different than how I imagined it but still really lovely. It’s more of a warmer red, honestly this nice rosy color. I still wished it was a little richer either in color or shimmer like a more purple shimmer but then again I’ve yet to ink it in a pen. I’ve only done brush swatches.

I fell in love with the Amanita ink after getting a sample. It matches beautifully with my Benu "Earl Grey Tea" pen, and flows fantastically from the broad nib, giving this ink the opportunity to show off both shading and shimmer! I rarely pair one ink to one pen, but I had to buy a bottle to make it happen in this case. The ink came securely packaged with no breakage or leaks. It even has a surprising pleasant scent that I did not notice in the sample!

I got fallen leaves but I expected it to be a lot more red than it actually is. Not sure how I feel about it but it’s more of a mustard like color. There is a blueish shimmer that you see when it pools. Not as much as when you write or when it gets lighter. I kinda wish either the orange ness was more vibrant or the color was darker. But a lovely ink none the less.
