Fabrics: Knit fabrics with 25 - 75% stretch in the crosswise direction like light to medium weight jersey or interlock fabrics.

Notions: a length of 38mm (1.5") knitted or woven elastic

Notions (optional): A length of 1cm (3/8") fusible hem tape or knit stay tape for hemming
2 x 7mm (1/4") eyelets and eyelet pliers (optional or can substitute with buttonholes)
Fusible interfacing: a 2cm x 5cm (3/4" x 2") piece to reinforce eyelets/buttonholes
A length of cord or tape equivalent to the elastic length plus 40cm (15 3/4") for the true waist tie
A 40cm (15 3/4") length of cord or tape for the faux waist tie
