My diy-oriented 11 year old wants to get into designing and building RC vehicles, so I bought this for him as a starter project before investing in something more advanced (and costly). He put it together on his own in under an hour. He was disappointed it only drives forward and back-it’s a very simple design with no left/right steering. But he’s already coming up with tweaks to make it faster, and because it’s so simple it’s very easy for him to test his ideas. That’s exactly what I was going for, so I’m very happy with it.
