PAIR of soft, round shoulder pads for all tailored garments or dresses, blouses and tops, especially for raglan or kimono sleeve styles. Made from soft white polyester wadding sandwiched between soft poly non-woven. Tailored shape with added cotton lip on the top for ease of sewing to the shoulder seam of the garment. The pad measures 5"/13cm length along the top plus a 2"/5cm skirt extension which will sit on the top arm. 8"/20cm across widest point. The thickness is approximately 1/2"/1.5cm at the top of the shoulder, so the pad will not give a lot of volume, but give structure to the garment and will smooth out the shoulder lines to a soft, round shape. If you want a more structured pad with added volume, L'Atelier Supplies sells a similar shaped pad which is much more substantial due to an added canvas layer and a thicker wadding core.

I purchased these lightweight shoulder pads to go on the shoulders on my new silk dress. The lightweight pads elevated the dress and because they were lightweight there was no obvious bulge/edge showing through the silk dress. Thoroughly recommend for use under lightweight garments.
