All our hats are made of HIGH QUALITY WOOL, in a wide variety of colors (over 50). The REEDED SWEATBANDS are made of fine Italian leather, with perforations to ensure a better airflow. They come in shades of brown, red, yellow, green, black, and white. The hats are tailored with SATIN LINING, available in shades of yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, green, black, and white. For the classic HATBAND, we use Petersham Grosgrain Ribbon, also available in shades of yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, green, black, and white.

BLOCKING - Our hats are made by traditional wet blocking techniques on wooden blocks. They come in 12 sizes and 3 oval shapes: round, intermediate (most common) and long oval. TREATMENT - After drying, the hat is ironed to obtain a surface as smooth as possible and hardened with a stiffener prepared by ourselves. SHAPING - All hats are shaped by hand, in the style and size required by the customer. FINISHING - The sweatband is sewn entirely by hand, with extra care and attention to details. PACKAGING - In addition to the outer packaging, the hat is also packed in a luxury hard box (which can be used to transport and store the hat if not in use for long periods of time), provided with a separator supporting the brim and hat care instructions

To determine your HEAD SIZE, you need a flexible measuring tape. The measuring tape must be placed across 3 crucial areas: – above the eyebrows (about 1-2 fingers) – above the ears (about 1-2 fingers) – on the most prominent area of the back of your head Basically, you need to measure your head exactly where the hat will sit. If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the larger size. Although the size is the right one, the hat can be uncomfortable due to the shape of the head. To determine the oval shape of the head, 2 measurements are needed: A = distance from one ear to another B = distance from the forehead to the back of the head Round = A approx. equal to B Intermediate = A slightly smaller than B Long = A much smaller than B

– Never leave your hat in your hot car. Heat and sunlight can dry out, fade and shrink your hat. – Do not hang your hat on a hook for long periods because it can change its shape. – Store the hat (preferably in a box) in a cool, dry place, as both heat and moisture can damage your hat. Use moth repellent, if necessary. – Allow wet hats to dry naturally; artificial heat from a hair dryer or heater can distort or shrink the hat. Place the hat on its brim on a towel to avoid creating flat spots on the crown. Shape the hat to its proper form; a wet hat will dry in the shape you leave it in. – Handle your hat by the brim (with both hands), not the crown.

How long does it take to make a hat

The manufacturing process lasts about 2-4 weeks, considering that each hat is made by hand, from the raw material to the finished product, and depending on few other factors: weather (for example, the drying process takes longer if there is high humidity outside), the materials needed for the chosen design, stocks or other factors independent of our will.

Depending on the country where the shipment is going, it will take up to 2 weeks for it to be delivered. All orders are shipped fast and safe with express delivery via UPS. However, given the current context (COVID-19), this deadline may be extended, regardless of our will. Worldwide delivery is FREE.

1 – Purchase this listing (you can add your own personalization: hat/lining/sweatband color, crown height, brim length – according to what works with the proportions of your face/body/lifestyle)
2 – Once the payment has been made, I will contact you to confirm the details, and the hat enters the manufacturing process (which lasts between 2 and 6 weeks). During this time, you will receive photos with the hat in various stages of manufacture.
3 - After the hat is finished, you will receive photos of the finished product and, after your approval, it will be packed and shipped.
4 – The hat will be shipped fast and safe via EMS express delivery (the tracking number will be sent to you).
5 - Your confirmation of receiving the item and your feedback would be highly appreciated.

B) For custom made hats:
1 – Send me a message with your ideas of customization/your story (see FAQs – “Custom and personalized orders” for available options of customization), along with your hat size and head shape, and any other detail you consider important.
Remember, when you order a “Story” hat, you don’t place an ordinary order, you initiate a dialogue. Together, we will design a unique hat, like your story is.
2 - After agreeing on the final concept, I will create a custom listing especially for you to purchase.
3 - Once the listing has been purchased, the hat enters the manufacturing process (which lasts between 2 and 6 weeks). During this time, you will receive photos with the hat in various stages of manufacture.
4 - After the hat is finished, you will receive photos of the finished product and, after your approval, it will be packed and shipped.
5 - The hat will be shipped fast and safe via EMS express delivery (the tracking number will be sent to you).

IMPORTANT!
- All hats are made to order so this is not the photo of the actual hat you will receive.
- Actual colors may vary slightly from what appears online, due to monitor differences. Also the proportions will alter slightly depending on hat size, head shape and crown height chosen. The distressed look will also be unique on every hat.
- By default, all hats are treated with a special waterproof solution for textiles. However, please let me know if you have any allergies to such solutions or to any other type of ingredient that goes into the manufacturing process of hats.
