Single studs and hoops are send in a small plastic hygeine bag stapled to a care card. Two or more studs are sent in a single jewellery box. Mix and match sets are grouped into one box. Necklaces and bracelets are sent in a gift box. All orders include care instructions, foral gift wrap and a silver polishing cloth, the cloths are suitable for gold too! Please note before adding a gift message that for operational purposes we print the message onto a sticker which is placed inside the lid of the postal box - gift messaging is intended for if you are posting directly to the recipient and want to let them know who has sent the gift.

Please message me if your order is missing, I may be able to track it for you. Occasionally things do go missing in the postal system, if it has gone missing I can offer a replacement. Refunds are only available after the correct claim procedures have been followed with my courier. Please be aware this can take from 4-8 weeks after the estimated postage date.

Jewellery worn in an unhealed piercing will tarnish quickly this also applies to gold. In this case you may also notice discoloration of the surrounding skin. It is nothing to worry about and wont harm your piercing however it doesn't look great! The best way to avoid this is to wear surgical steel until your piercing has healed fully (this can take over 12m for some piercings) If you notice tarnishing (blackness on the surface of the metal) please give your jewellery a clean with the polishing cloth provided with your order. Please note that The Little Silver Kiln can not be held responsible for tarnishing caused by incorrect care of jewellery.

All materials are sourced from highly reputable UK bullion suppliers. They are regulated so we know what we pay for is exactly what we get. All of our silver products are solid 925 sterling silver which is nickel free and hypoallergenic. We use 9ct solid gold which has a minimum content of 376 parts of gold as per hallmarking requirements (minimum of 375parts) We also use 14ct gold fill/vermeil which has a minimum of 5% gold layering around a base metal. The colour and clarity of our stones may vary from batch to batch please message us if you would like to pick your own or see our stones in stock.

For hoops its best to measure from your piercing hole to the edge of your ear (nose, lip, wherever!) and then simply add 1mm (or more for a looser fitting) so your hoop isn’t too tight. You might need help with this depending where you’re buying your hoop for. Rings can be hard to measure without a gauge, this is why we offer a ring sizing service on all our ring orders. Simply find 'Ring Sizer' in our listings and add this to your ring order. If a mistake is made choosing your size we can exchange hoops or resize your ring, but please ensure earrings remain in the sealed packaging! Just get in touch! All anatomy is different and some of our hoops may not fit perfectly please message us if you are unsure of any sizing details.

By UK law any precious metal items i.e. Sterling silver, fine silver etc that weighs over 7 grams and gold that weighs over 1 gram MUST be hallmarked. I'm registered with the Assay Office in Edinburgh, England and every piece of my silver jewellery over 7g or gold that weighs over 1 gram has my 'sponsor' mark as well as the Assay Office mark and a mark to confirm the silver or gold content. This gives reassurance that what you are buying is indeed genuine. If you are purchasing something under the weight limits I can arrange hallmarking at your request but please note this will incur extra cost & will take longer to process.

We design and make all of our engraved products in-house at The Little Silver Kiln. Our items are hand drawn and engraved using a CNC machine onto sterling silver plates which are cut with our own router. We can't currently take on commission as it involves a whole process within the design element but if you have suggestions for what you'd like us to make in the future please pop us a message so we can take this into consideration!

- Some items are ready-made so there are lower processing times if you do need your item quicker please get in touch and I will do my best to dispatch sooner.

RUSH ORDERS
You can upgrade your shipping in your Etsy basket, we offer RM24 which is a business post with delivery confirmation. If you would like your order sooner and with full tracking you can pay £1.50 extra for T24 which is a fully tracked service, generally it is next day but this is not guaranteed particularly during busy periods. If you need your order guaranteed next day delivery you can upgrade to our £5 shipping. Please get in touch before purchasing to check that we are able to process it in time for your deadline - we still have to make and pack each order and sometimes our workload is too busy to fit an extra order in early.

Please do not request quicker processing via 'message to seller' 99% of the time we see this the day before your order is due to be processed, please instead send us a message.

CUSTOM ORDERS
Sorry I do not currently take on custom orders however if you need a slight alteration on one of my products please get in touch and where possible, I will accommodate!

AFTERCARE
-As most metals will see surface damage when in contact with chlorinated water – it’s best to remove all jewellery when in the swimming pool.
-Keep all of your metal and gemstones well away from domestic cleaning products and avoid contact with things like perfume and hairspray.
-When not worn, store your jewellery in an airtight bag in a dark area. (1 provided with each order)
-The best way to keep your silver jewellery looking great is to wear it, as this stops it from oxidising with the air and tarnishing. If it comes into contact with water, dry quickly to avoid stains.
-Yellow gold should be kept in separate boxes or soft pouches to keep it from scratching. Avoid contact with soaps.
-Hoops may lose their shape if opened incorrectly, or through mishandling, please contact me if you would like a free* reshape on any jewellery purchase through The Little Silver Kiln.
-Tarnishing will occur over time and will be quicker if not stored or cared for correctly. Please contact me if you have any questions or require a free* repolish.

*Polish and Shape services occur a fee for postage both ways. The actual process is free of charge. Only available on items which have been purchased from The Little Silver Kiln.
