Handpainted Pijnacker plate with floral design by Royal Delft (Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles).
Inspired by Japanese Imari style, the exclusive Pijnacker decoration with red/orange, blue and true 24 karat gold painting is the most expensive technique in the history of Porceleyne Fles. Besides the gold painting this is caused by the need for an additional firing round at lower temperature to preserve the red and gold painting. As a result Pijnacker decoration was taken out of production in 2008.
Excellent condition: no chips, cracks or hairlines. Crazing commensurate with age (but hardly any).
