****When purchasing a flashlight other than what I recommend, read their specifications carefully for bezel size. .91" or less is acceptable (You may have to go to the manufacturer's website to find the bezel size!), but keep in mind other factors, such as color, balance (we want it relatively close to daylight) and battery style, etc. There are many factors that go into my recommendation.

There is the possibility your order could ship sooner than the Etsy shipping parameters state. If you have questions, please send us a message.

**DOES NOT INCLUDE ADAPTER OR FLASHLIGHT!**If you don't own or purchase an adapter, we recommend it for proper fit!

I designed these diffusers to soften the light coming from the LED flashlights (or any flashlight with a 0.9" bezel or smaller) that I use in my light painting photographic technique. They are designed to be used with the (highly recommended) machined aluminum adapter (designed by John Corcoran, my co-instructor). The adapter only fits a 0.9" bezel flashlight! It will mount to the flashlight and allow a very quick change-out of these hoods. Without the adapter, you will have to apply gaffer's tape or a spacer to the outside of your flashlight for a snug fit. This method works, but the adapter is a more elegant solution!

(Note: there may be a thin blue ring inside the bezel of this flashlight, the blue ring doesn't cause any issues, as the light gets diffused quite thoroughly before it exits the diffuser, and we always should white balance to a grey card exposure (which we can save as a preset) for each light source that we use. We have been using this light with no issues at all).

These diffusers, which are hand made by me, allow one to get in very close, making the light even softer. The set consists of a right hand and left hand angled end which acts as a snoot, blocking the light from the lens. Why two angles? One allows the actual flashlight to be in the up position, and the other in the down position, in order to help avoid bumping things on the set of the still life. Also, you can switch from left to right, or vice-versa, depending on whether you are lighting from the left side or right side of the set. The set consists of BOTH angles. You can see many examples of images shot with these diffusers at:
