Not to use it for leaping or as throwing knife because the Damascus Steel and Carbon steel not the stainless Steel. Unless dried after dishing it will rust. So you must use some oil to preserve it. Treat the blade with linseed oil or oil for maintenance weapons. We do not recommend exposure to extreme temperatures. Do not treat the blade or leather of the handle and sheath with products containing water. The leather can be treated from time to time with a natural balm for leather products with bee wax. Sharpening of the knife can be done with carborundum sanders or diamond sanders.

Sword are made mostly as a historical replica. They are made as costume accessory or decorations. If your want sword for a battle you must write a message and ask for the option to order a combat sword. Although the swords are of good quality. it is not recommended for sharp swords to cut into materials such as metal or stone. Not to use it for leaping. We use carbon steel for swords and it need some care. Unless dried after after dishing it will rust, so you must use some oil to preserve it. Um wow ... this is a massive beastly hatchet..very impressed with the quality!
