Shadow Box Skull * I believe this is a cat skull. I have a number of skulls in my collection, and this is one of the best specimens. I decided to display it in profile, by suspending its elegant form from a string and hook in a shadow box. The shadow box itself is, in fact, a drawer— note the small finial-esque shape at top: a drawer pull!

This is a one-of-a kind hand-pulled trace monoprint, signed and dated by me.

A trace monoprint is one created by rolling out a thin layer of ink onto a piece of glass (or plexi), then lying a sheet of peope down gently, and drawing onto the paper. Where the pencil or pen touches the paper, it picks up the ink from the glass, creating a unique-looking print (and the pencil drawing is on the back of the print!)

This is printed on lightweight printmaking Paper using black ink
The IMAGE area is ~6.75" x 9"
The PAPER size is also ~6.75" x 9", but with room enough to mat around the image if desired.

I recommend having the print matted closely around the image when it's framed— feel free to trim the paper if needed to fit in a specific frame! I do it all the time.
