What is Petrykivka art that we are creating?

Our products are adorned with Petrykivka painting - a traditional Ukrainian decorative art technique dating back to the 17th century. It began in the village of Petrykivka, Ukraine, where we are based. In 2013, UNESCO recognized Petrykivka painting as part of the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity for its deep cultural roots, symbolic meanings, and the way it’s passed down through generations. The tradition to adorn pieces of everyday use with Petrykika art has lived in our region for over 300 years - and came to me through my family. Each motif carries meaning: flowers and birds symbolize health, love, harmony, and protection. Every brushstroke is a heartfelt wish.
