Milk White topcoat with your choice of Base Color.

Simply choose the diameters of the platters you need and the base color that goes on underneath the Milk White distressed coat.

Then tell us the date of your event as well as a unique Base Color choice (if desired).

Spindles are a standard 7 inches each.

How This Cupcake Stand Came To Be

When my fiancée and I needed to decide on a wedding cake for our upcoming celebration, we decided on a variety of flavors of tiny cupcakes instead of a traditional full-sized cake. We needed something to hold all those cupcakes and we needed it to look great.

We looked around and just weren’t finding many options for cupcake stands. The only we really liked was coming from halfway across the globe. It was nice, but we were concerned about it getting to us on time.

I’m a woodworker by trade, so I decided I would build the cupcake stand instead of buying one. So I did the research to learn how to make one. Then I got to work cutting and routing the platters and turning the spindles. I used wood right from our yard to make the spindles.

Then my future wife finished the wood by painting it to give it the beautiful distressed “Shabby Chic” look we wanted. We had fun making this and we worked well creating this first project together and it’s a great indicator of what we hope our life together will always be like.
